Tarun has worked as psychiatrist for 17 years in both the UK and Australia and is a Professor of Psychiatry at Flinders University and Adjunct Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Monash University. He was appointed the SA Health Executive Director of Mental Health Strategy between 2015-2018 and as a Clinical Director between 2010-2014. He has utilised an evidence-based approach to policy and strategy, integrating clinical research and informatics with his executive leadership roles.
